ADS-B Grant Scheme pays out $46k in March
The ADS-B Grant Scheme, which was launched on March 23, has already received over 270 applications and paid out $46k (plus GST) for just 18 claims.
The Government supported ADS-B Transponder Grant is open to applications from owners of NZ registered aircraft who install appropriate ADS-B OUT and IN equipment.
NSS director Steve Smyth said the grants paid to aviation owners mark a major milestone for the ADS-B project. “Now these funds are starting to flow into the aviation system, hopefully, this will relieve some of the pressure caused by COVID-19.
“We have also relaxed the requirement of completing the claim process within 6 months of application and extended this to 12 months to allow applicants the opportunity to re-schedule installations and obtain the necessary evidence and information for their claim.”
